About

Cara Wilmanns was born in 2000 and grew up in North Rhine-Westphalia. She was exposed to art from a young age, as she comes from a musical family. While pursuing her studies, she began to develop her skills in oil painting professionally. She now successfully exhibits her work internationally, and her art has been recognized by various institutions.

»For me, art is like light. And without light there can be no life. I am fascinated by life, people and the traces they leave behind. I often ask myself what defines us, what values we have and how we show them. My passion besides art, mathematics, has given me a scientific interest. It influences my paintings and creates a combination of almost scientific observation, commentary on the history of art and sometimes my own biographical reappraisal.«
